Author: Dr. Suraj Singh Bhadoria Abstract Acute gastritis is an inflammatory condition of the gastric mucosa that often presents with abdominal pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and digestive disturbances. A case of acute gastritis following ingestion of indigestible food was managed successfully with individualized homoeopathic prescription based on repertorization. The patient presented with dull aching abdominal pain, nausea after meals, dryness of throat, diminished appetite, indigestion, and bitter taste in mouth, with aggravation around 2 pm and amelioration by rest. Repertorial analysis pointed towards Sulphur as the most indicated remedy, which was prescribed in 200C potency. Follow-up showed progressive improvement: nausea and dryness of throat subsided, appetite increased, and bitter taste disappeared. Complete recovery was achieved within a short duration, confirmed on subsequent follow-up.This case highlights the importance of repertorial analysis and similimum selection in acute conditions, demonstrating the role of homoeopathy in effectively managing acute gastritis.
